In May 2024, I had the opportunity to take part in the Garden of Emerald exhibition, organized in Shanghai by the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels, as a photographer and video director. The event took place in the exceptional setting of the Twins Villas, a prestigious venue that enhanced the exhibition’s scenography.

On this occasion, exceptional jewelry pieces from the Maison were presented to the public, showcasing the craftsmanship and artistic excellence that define Van Cleef & Arpels. These creations were accompanied in the background by photographs of emerald inclusions, some produced by Valentin Fejoz and others by Théodore Rozet.

The immersive experience was further enriched by video animations projected onto the walls of the Twins Villas, created by Florent Molle and Valentin Fejoz. These projections interacted with the exhibited pieces, creating an atmosphere that was both poetic and scientific.

In addition, the photographs of inclusions were also displayed on a large scale throughout the urban space, notably on large billboards as well as in the Shanghai metro, as part of the exhibition’s communication campaign.

This project was a significant artistic and professional experience, at the intersection of fine jewelry and scientific photography.
