Binocular and Monocular Gemmological Microscope System

A Professional System for Gemstone Examination and Photography

This Olympus binocular microscope system has been specifically designed for professional gemmological use. It allows detailed examination of gemstones and jewellery, as well as high-resolution photography of internal gemstone features, including inclusions.

The system combines an Olympus binocular microscope head offering 7× to 45× magnification, a robust aluminium structure, and a 4K imaging system equipped with a Sony sensor.

Two Operating Configurations

1. Standard Gemmological Examination

The Olympus binocular microscope head is mounted on the aluminium base and its adjustable stand.

This configuration provides comfortable and stable observation of gemstones, jewellery, and rough gemstones.

The system also includes a specially designed gemstone tweezers for securely holding stones during microscopic examination.

2. High-Resolution Photography

The binocular microscope head can be replaced by the optical system equipped with its 4K camera.

The camera features a Sony sensor and integrated software for viewing, capturing, and recording high-resolution images.

This configuration is particularly suitable for:

A Robust and Adjustable Construction

The system is built around a durable aluminium base, combined with an adjustable stand allowing the height of the microscope or photographic system to be adjusted.

The microscope mast is made from 32 mm diameter stainless-steel tubing, providing a strong and durable support structure.

The adjustable stand allows the position of the microscope to be adapted to different gemstone sizes and examination configurations.

Integrated Lighting System

The system includes several lighting sources specifically suited to gemmological examination:

• One adjustable ring light.

• Two adjustable fiber-optic lights.

• One illuminated base.

This combination allows the lighting to be adapted according to the gemstone being examined and facilitates the observation of inclusions, growth structures, surface characteristics, and other diagnostic features.
